How AtHomeAndKitchen Evaluates & Ranks Products
At AtHomeAndKitchen, we believe everyday household goods—from paper towels and scrub sponges to floor mops and kitchen scales—should be judged by how well they perform under regular daily usage, not by marketing sponsorships or exaggerated claims.
1. Verified Repeat Purchase Velocity
Unlike subjective single-reviewer blogs, our index starts from actual consumer repurchase data on Amazon.com. We prioritize items boasting verified monthly sales volumes (such as 50K+, 80K+, and 100K+ bought in the past month), as household supplies with high re-buy rates have already passed the ultimate test: real customers buying them repeatedly.
2. Material & Formulation Integrity
For cleaning solutions and paper goods, we evaluate EPA Safer Choice designations, bleach concentration ratios, septic-system safety, and surface material compatibility (e.g. non-scratch polymers on Teflon cookware). For hardware and kitchen prep tools, we verify food-grade 304 stainless steel, BPA-free certifications, and water-resistance ratings (IP67).
3. Independence & Integrity
We do not accept paid placements, free promotional samples in exchange for positive reviews, or sponsored brand ranking adjustments. Rankings are updated on a monthly cycle (current cycle: October 2026).
